US troop withdrawal brings Iraq, Syria closer

Iraq says it will play a bigger role in Syria to fight against the Daesh terrorists after the withdrawal of the US forces. Baghdad says it seeks to move beyond its current arrangement with Syria. The increased cooperation was announced after a meeting between Iraqi top security officials and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Damascus.
